Gustavo Cruz (also known as Gustavo Adolfo Cruz-Hernandez and Gustavo Cruz-Aguilar), born October 27, 1975, in Veracruz, Mexico, is wanted for allegedly molesting an 11-year-old child and recording the alleged molestation on his cell phone in Indianapolis, Indiana, between January 1, 2016, and March 29, 2017. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Indiana, the victim told investigators Cruz had sexually abused her for years; a search of Cruz's home and vehicle recovered electronic devices containing multiple videos of child pornography, many depicting Cruz engaged in sexual acts with the victim.
A federal arrest warrant was issued for Cruz on March 31, 2017, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, Indianapolis, charging him with Sexual Exploitation of a Child. The FBI's Indianapolis Field Office leads the fugitive investigation. At the time of a 2018 public appeal, authorities believed Cruz might still be in the Midwest United States; the FBI's current wanted listing states he is believed to possibly be residing in Mexico.
