Marcus Oubre, 37, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was last seen on the evening of August 23, 2023, when he told family members he would be "going away for a few days." He was last seen near the Louisiana State University campus around 9:30 p.m. and then at a Walmart on Siegen Lane at ~10:00 p.m. driving his white 2006 Honda Accord.
At ~11:00 p.m. the same evening, (August 23rd) his vehicle was located crashed and abandoned near Louisiana Highway 3213 and the Veterans Memorial (Gramercy) Bridge in St. John the Baptist Parish, roughly 60 miles from where he was last seen. None of his personal effects were recovered with the vehicle, and no trace of Oubre was located at the scene and he hasn't been heard from since.
When he didn't return home or make contact with his fiancée, former partner, or family, he was reported missing on August 27, 2023, three days after he disappeared. Oubre is described as a Black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall and approximately 200 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, short chin-length facial hair, and a missing upper right molar or premolar.
