Fugitive From Justice
Saidul Hasan Chowdhury, born May 5, 1985, is wanted for his alleged involvement in the sexual assault of a minor child, which occurred in approximately October 2008 in Queens, New York. The crime was reported to authorities in 2024, and Chowdhury was subsequently arrested in May 2024 and charged with Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree and Rape in the Second Degree, both under New York Penal Law. Chowdhury was released on bond and then fled the United States to Saudi Arabia in May 2024, where he is believed to be located.
On March 10, 2025, the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York, in Brooklyn, issued a federal arrest warrant charging Chowdhury with Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution. The FBI's New York Field Office leads the fugitive investigation, and the FBI states Chowdhury "should be considered an escape risk." He is described as a male, 5'8", 200 pounds, with black hair and black eyes. Identifiers: NCIC W001348377.
